Place Value

We have officially moved on to our place value unit. Throughout this unit, we will be studying all of the different forms that a number can be written in (standard form, expanded form, written form, model form, and hundreds, tens, ones). We will also learn how to use place value and model form to help us add 3-digit numbers. Students are not required to learn the equation method for adding 3-digit numbers until 3rd grade. Please find some helpful resources below for our current unit.

A chart we made together in class showing the different ways we can write a number.
